Jubilation As Governor Gifts N100k Parting Package To NYSC Members (Video)
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has made a significant announcement of a N100,000 gift for every Corps member concluding their service at the camp, alongside a N100 million allocation for NYSC support staff.
During his address as the special guest of honor at the NYSC Passing-Out Parade/Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members, held at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja on Tuesday, July 16, Governor Sanwo-Olu also revealed a substantial pledge of N5 billion towards the construction of a permanent site for the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp in Lagos State.
“This year alone, I am allocating a total of N5 billion to initiate the full development of a permanent site for the NYSC,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
He further addressed the 4,254 Corps members, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. “With all sense of responsibility, and because you have been very hardworking, each and every one of you will go home with N100,000. The money will be made available in your accounts by next week, and your directors will credit your account,” he announced.
