How Ikeja Protesters Resisted Thugs (Video)
Amid the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger, thugs attempted to infiltrate a peaceful protest at Ikeja, the capital of Lagos state, on Thursday morning.
However, the Protesters were alert and quickly identified the thugs.
A viral video circulated online captured the crowd of protesters inviting the police to apprehend the said thugs.
In the video, one of the protesters who spoke in the camera said, “We noticed that since the past two days, they didn’t want us to gather here (Ikeja Under Bridge). They only wanted designated places. Why we have come here this morning is to demonstrate we are not slaves.”
While he was still speaking, the thugs emanated from the crowd, trying to cause trouble.
However, the protesters overpowered the thugs and called the attention of the police who quickly swung into action and whisked the thugs from the crowd.
