Tears As Corpse Of Aide To Commissioner Killed By Kidnappers Arrives Onitsha

In a sad development, the corpse of Barrister ABK Offiah, a lawyer and aide to the Anambra Commissioner for Youths Development, Patrick Agha Mba, who was killed by kidnappers in Edo State, arrived in Anambra on Sunday..

A viral video circulating on social media captured the moment an ambulance arrived Onitsha, Anambra State  with Offiah’s corpse while wailings erupted from members of the community. 

GWG.ng earlier reported that Offiah was shot d@ad while traveling with Agha Mba and his wife to Abuja for the wedding of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s daughter. 

According to reports, the late aide to the commissioner had celebrated his birthday on August 15, a day before the tragic incident. 

On Sunday, GWG.ng reported that the Commissioner and his wife, who were kidnapped during the attack regained their freedom. 

Offiah, from Onitsha, holds the traditional title of Kpajiego and was a prominent youth leader. His remains were brought back to Onitsha, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, efforts are still being made to rescue the 20 medical students kidnapped in Benue State, en route to Enugu state for a convention.

It was earlier reported that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, ordered the deployment of police tactical teams and assets, including drones, helicopters, and specialized vehicles for the swift rescue of 20 medical students abducted in Otukpo, Benue State on Thursday evening.
