Nigerian Gospel Singer Gives Portable 3-Day Ultimatum to Apologize for Assaulting Pastor

Gospel artiste, Testimony Jaga, has issued a stern warning to controversial musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, demanding an apology for his recent assault on a preacher.

The response of Testimony Jaga came after GWG.ng previously reported the incident outside Portable’s bar, where the singer livestreamed himself physically attacking a pastor. Portable accused the preacher of driving customers away from his establishment and claimed the pastor’s presence posed a threat to his business.

Outraged by the act, Testimony Jaga took to his Instagram page on Friday to condemn the action of Portable and gave him an ultimatum to make amends.

In his post, Jaga wrote, “@portablebaeby, I am giving you three days to apologize to that man.”

He further emphasized that, if Portable believed the pastor was in the wrong, the appropriate response would have been to contact law enforcement instead of resorting to violence.

*“If Portable felt the pastor was doing something wrong, why not call the police or law enforcement to handle the situation? There was no need to slap him,” Jaga stated.

He also reminded Portable that the pastor is a husband and father, urging him to show respect. “All I ask is for Portable to apologize—to the pastor and his family. If he doesn’t, he might find himself as an example of why such behavior won’t be tolerated,”Jaga added.

The assertions of Testimony Jaga’s demand comes as many condemn the altercation, calling for accountability and respect toward religious leaders.
