Tributes Pour In As Gospel Singer Dele Gold Is Buried

The late Nigerian gospel singer Dele Agbeyo, popularly known as Dele Gold has been laid to rest following burial ceremonies that commenced on Tuesday at the Victoria Garden Conference Centre in Ikeja.

The events included a service of songs, a Christian wake-keeping, a candlelight procession, and an artistes’ night.

Dele Gold, who passed away on September 11, was laid to rest on Thursday at his residence in Abule Egba, Lagos State. The funeral service was attended by his wife, children, and other family members, who accompanied his body to its final resting place.

Fans of the 48-year-old singer have been paying heartfelt tributes, celebrating his life and contributions to gospel music. His burial ceremony was graced by several celebrities, including Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun and fellow musicians such as Genesis, Wale Dada, and Femi Solar.

Dele Gold, originally from Ekiti State, was known for his inspirational songs like ‘Divine Warning,’ ‘Every Knee,’ ‘Infinite God,’ and ‘A Thousand Tongues.’ Throughout his career, he performed alongside notable artists such as Sir Shina Peters, Lanre Teriba (popularly known as Atorise), and Abel Dosunmu (Mega 99). In 2019, he collaborated with the legendary Ebenezer Obey on his album Hearty Blessing’.
