76 ritual killings Ibadan

A mysterious man from Ibadan, known locally as “Mistina Orobo,” has confessed to ritual killings involving over 70 women in Oyo State’s capital.

Speaking anonymously on Yinka Ayefele’s radio show “Opeyemi” on Fresh FM, he revealed shocking details about his past, saying he was driven by a need to “renew his mystical power” through these acts.

He explained that his rituals demanded blood, and after draining it, he would eat specific body parts to maintain his supernatural abilities. “My idol takes about 73 to 76 women over seven years. These women are usually found at clubs or popular places,” he said. “Eating people is solely to renew the voodoo in my body. The parts I find most flavorful are the tongue, palm, and foot.”

According to Mistina Orobo, he once operated as a high-paid assassin, working with powerful clients including bank managers and politicians, charging between N50 million and N80 million per job. He claimed, “I’m very popular among them. My first job with a bank manager involved killing a wealthy man. We even convinced a reluctant bank official to sign off on it before we killed him.” He also trained a group of accomplices, some of whom became notorious robbers.

Reflecting on his early life, he shared that his father was an herbalist, and from age nine, he consumed sacrifices at various locations. This, he said, prepared him for his later life as a feared assassin and occasional robber.

However, Mistina Orobo claimed to have abandoned his old ways after a life-changing experience. He described a spiritual encounter where Jesus appeared to him in a dream, marking a turning point. “I went to seek revenge on some people who had killed me before, but I changed my mind. Since then, I felt pity and decided to leave my past behind. Now, God has taken control of my life,” he stated. He now trains as a pastor, spending four years in a seminary to become a prophet. He insisted he is not planning to start a church but wishes to share his past as a cautionary tale.

Additionally, he mentioned a close relationship with the late Temitope Olatoye, also known as “Sugar,” a former lawmaker in Oyo State. Mistina Orobo hinted that had he not been out of the country at the time, he might have prevented Sugar’s death. Sugar was fatally shot by political assailants in 2019.
