Wizkid 8 billion Spotify streams

Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has set a remarkable record by becoming the first African artiste to surpass 8 billion streams on Spotify. This impressive milestone accounts for both his solo tracks and collaborations.

Among his songs, the global hit “One Dance,” a collaboration with Canadian artist Drake, remains his most-streamed track on Spotify with over 2 billion streams. The track also holds a Guinness World Record for being the first single to achieve 1 billion streams on the platform.

Wizkid’s album Made in Lagos (Deluxe Edition) stands out as his most-streamed project on Spotify, amassing nearly 1 billion streams since its release.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy follows closely as the second most-streamed African artist, boasting 7.2 billion streams on Spotify. Additionally, he holds the title of the most-followed Afrobeats artist on the platform.

This achievement further cements Wizkid’s position as a global ambassador for African music, showcasing the genre’s growing influence worldwide.
