Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about her painful childhood, revealing that she was raped five times.

In a conversation with fellow actress Biola Bayo on the talk show ‘Talk to B’, Iyabo shared this traumatic experience and emphasized her stance against rape. She expressed her determination to confront any rapist without hesitation, pointing out that many people are quick to defend perpetrators. She firmly stated, “I was raped five times in my life. I discovered we have a lot of rape apologists. I don’t care who the person is; if that person is my son, I am going to come for him unapologetically.”

The actress also spoke about her early years, mentioning that she was raised by her grandmother, who had a mixed heritage of Delta and Igbo roots. Iyabo revealed that she didn’t meet her mother until she was seven years old.

Reflecting on her relationship with her father, she disclosed that he disowned her when she chose to marry her ex-husband. She also shared the painful reality of her father’s struggles with alcoholism and drug abuse, which contributed to his untimely death at the age of 49. “My dad did everything—alcohol and drugs—so it messed him up at a young age. He died at 49,” she said.

In addition, Iyabo clarified misconceptions about her relationship with controversial musician Naira Marley, explaining that despite rumors suggesting they had a friendly rapport, she said that she has never met him in person.
