Obasa Mum As Meranda Occupies Office With Prayers (Video)

The new speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda on Monday moved into her new office despite continued claims by her immediate predecessor, Mudashiru Obasa that he was wrongfully removed.

The event at the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, was marked by praise songs and celebration from supporters who also cleared the path for Speaker Meranda to take her seat in Obasa’s former office.

This ceremony follows Obasa’s impeachment over alleged misconduct and proceeded despite claims by the former speaker that he remains Speaker

The scene of Meranda being escorted to the office drew a variety of reactions, with some supporters jubilant over her appointment, while others on social media questioned the spectacle around the new speaker.
