Man With Rabies Barking Like Dog (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye

A rare and shocking incident has left many people in disbelief after a viral video surfaced online, showing a man suffering from advanced rabies and barking like a dog.
The footage, shared on X (formerly Twitter), captures the distressing moment when the man, restrained on a hospital bed, repeatedly barks while struggling to breathe. His condition appears severe, and his movements are restless. A doctor, standing at a safe distance, records the man’s condition on a phone instead of approaching him directly.
Rabies is a deadly viral disease that affects the nervous system, often transmitted through dog bites. If left untreated before symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal. This case has sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the reality of the situation.
One user, Benny Febian Iyke, expressed disbelief, writing, “So this thing is really true? That untreated dog bite could actually make a human bark like a dog?” Another, Gerald O. P, simply asked, “So for real, this happens?”
However, some users were more critical of the doctor’s actions. Briggy commented, “I can’t really tell what that doctor is doing. Is the doctor videoing him instead of treating him?”
The disturbing nature of the video has also led to emotional reactions. Transcendante wrote, “At this point, all that can be done is to relieve his pain until death. Truly heartbreaking.” Others, like Arakunrin Busuyi, were convinced the man had no chance of survival, saying, “He can never survive.”
The video has reignited fears about rabies, with some users expressing strong opinions about dogs. Crypto Ninja stated, “I will never buy a dog. No matter how calm your dog is, I ain’t passing your house.” Another user, Seunney, admitted, “This is why I don’t even like dogs. If you like, give them vaccines, just don’t bring them near me.”
As discussions continue, this incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of rabies and the importance of timely vaccination and treatment after a dog bite.
