Labour Party Sets April 5 For Anambra Governorship Primary

The Labour Party has set April 5, 2025, for its Anambra governorship primary, with nomination forms available from February 10.
The Labour Party has officially announced April 5, 2025, as the date for its primary election to select its gubernatorial candidate for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
This decision was endorsed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
According to a statement signed by the party’s National Secretary, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the process for the primaries will begin well before the election date. “The sale of expression of interest and nomination forms will commence on Monday, February 10, 2025. Meanwhile, the sale of delegate forms is slated to begin on March 20, 2025,” Ibrahim disclosed.
He further advised all potential aspirants to visit the National Headquarters of the Labour Party to collect the guidelines for the primaries and acquire other essential information. “This is an open call to all credible aspirants who wish to contribute positively to the governance of Anambra State under the Labour Party banner,” Ibrahim added.
The announcement marks a significant step for the Labour Party as it prepares to field a strong candidate in the Anambra State gubernatorial race. Party members and supporters are expected to actively participate in the primaries, ensuring that a representative candidate emerges to contest in the state’s governorship election.
