Renowned cleric and founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has debunked claims that the church’s aircraft was purchased using offerings, insisting that it was miraculously provided by God.

Speaking during a church service, Bishop Oyedepo addressed the speculation surrounding the aircraft acquisition, emphasizing that it was a divine provision beyond human understanding.

“He [God] bought the first aircraft without any prayer, without any idea that the aircraft was coming. He said it, He delivered it—nobody was under pressure, and there was no pressure on the offering,” he stated against the grain of news reports in Nigeria that the aircraft were bought from church offerings.

Pastor Oyedepo further stressed that no individual was contacted for funds to purchase the aircraft, as it was purely God’s doing.

“It wasn’t an ambition; it was an unveiled divine agenda. If God had asked me, ‘David, when do you want that aircraft?’ I would have said, ‘God, take it easy, we are not ready.’ But He didn’t even give us room to find out the cost before delivering it,” he added.

According to Bishop Oyedepo, the aircraft was not a short-distance plane but one capable of covering the entire African continent, making it a crucial tool for the church’s mission.

With his clarification, Bishop Oyedepo has given a new narrative on news reports in the Nigerian media on the acquisition of the aircraft by the church.
