Osun Governor Dismisses Reports Of Attacking Tinubu
By Benjamin Abioye

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for upholding the rule of law during the local government elections in the state.
Speaking to journalists in his hometown of Ede on Saturday, Adeleke denied making any negative statements about the president. He emphasized his commitment to working with the federal government and dismissed reports suggesting otherwise.
“I did not at any point utter any negative remarks about Mr. President,” he clarified.
The governor described such reports as false, urging the public to disregard them.
“All the news articles suggesting that I made negative remarks against the president are fake,” he stated. “I have been very supportive and collaborative with the federal government. In my two broadcasts, I did not in any way attack the president. I urge the public and stakeholders to ignore the fake news, as I did not attack President Tinubu in any way before and during the ongoing local government election.”
Adeleke also commended the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) for conducting what he described as a smooth and well-organized election.
Similarly, the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, praised the electorate for their participation in the voting process.
Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, Igbalaye also acknowledged the efforts of OSSIEC in ensuring a peaceful election.
“I want to commend the electorate for coming out en masse to cast their votes,” he said. “The election has been peaceful, and I know that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will emerge victorious.”
With the elections concluded, attention now turns to the results and the next steps in the governance of Osun State.
