Mohbad: Court Says No Case Against Naira Marley, Sam Larry

A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, on Tuesday released popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, in connection with the death of Aloba Oladimeji IleriOluwa, widely known as Mohbad.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, while delivering the ruling based on the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.
Along with him, the court also released music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
However, the DPP announced that it would prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and his friend, Ayobami Sadiq. They are being charged with reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
Their trial will take place at the Magistrate Court. More details are expected soon.
