Confusion As Pro-Akpabio Protesters Speak (Video)

A video making waves on social media has sent the online community on frenzy, after some pro-Akpabio protesters struggled to explain why they were supporting Senate President Godswill Akpabio amid his ongoing dispute with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The demonstrators, who gathered at the National Assembly premises on Wednesday, March 5, were asked by an interviewer why they were backing Akpabio. Shockingly, one woman admitted she had no idea what was happening but had simply been called to join the protest. When asked if she knew Natasha, she replied, “No,” raising questions about the sincerity of the demonstration.

Another protester, when asked about her reason for supporting Akpabio, vaguely stated that she wanted him to “win the position.” However, the response raised eyebrows since there is no ongoing election for the Senate President’s seat.

GWG.ng reports that the interview followed a clash between pro-Akpabio and pro-Natasha supporters, who had taken to the streets earlier in the day to express their views on the controversy surrounding the two lawmakers.
