Natasha Kiss

The senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district, Yemi Adaramodu is facing heavy criticism from netizens following his reaction to Senator Natasha Akpoti’s public display of affection with her husband.

Reflecting on the moment Senator Natasha kissed her husband, Adaramodu stated, “When I saw my colleague sister (Senator Natasha) entering with a kiss, it reminded me of when we used to act in primary school theatre performances. Is this really where we are? Her husband was close to the plenary, and she kissed him over an internal affair—this is inappropriate.”

Adaramodu, who has been vocal in the ongoing controversy surrounding Natasha’s sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, found himself under fire after a video of Natasha kissing her husband surfaced online. Instead of addressing the significance of the moment, Adaramodu appeared dismissive, prompting netizens to accuse him of bias, bitterness, and jealousy.

Social media users flooded the comment section with sharp criticism, questioning why Adaramodu seemed more focused on Natasha’s personal life than the allegations against Akpabio. Many accused him of attempting to discredit Natasha instead of supporting a fair and transparent investigation.

Read some netizens’ reactions below;

@virus: This one finds kissing disgusting

@destiny: Senator Yemi is also a content creator

@otuo: This bitter man couldn’t even hide his bias and disdain for a lady he has already crucified before she is heard.
My simple question for all the bootlicking senators is this, has @NatashaAkpoti always been this disrespectful to her colleagues in the senate?
If no, why is it difficult to try to find out why she acted the way she did at the plenary that day?

@tola4474: I am shocked that the Honorable Senator didn’t see the matter as an opportunity to address a bigger issue of sexual harassment. The senate had treated this issue in the universities but it’s obvious it is a societal problem and the Senate can address is with a legislation.

@kennyomoniru: Senator Adaramodu sir when was the last time you kissed your wife?

@jaymoney: All these senators are only paying solidarity to their bosses , Natasha is not useful to them individually so they have no reason to support her

@AdioOlarewaju: What a predetermined course of action.

The ethics of interview was totally jettisoned.

He doesn’t want to listen to the other points of view.
Unimpressed with the defensive mechanism

@airdropglobal15: She is supported by her husband who loves his wife and isn’t afraid to show it. Also not to forget that she is also a classy, beautiful warrior who is doing great things for her community…I would argue the only working Senator out of you all.

Despite the backlash, Adaramodu has yet to respond to the growing criticism, while netizens continue to drag him for what they see as an attempt to distract from the serious allegations at hand.
