Omo-Agege Shows Relevance After Lone Meeting With Tinubu
By Emmanuel Aziken

Erstwhile Deputy President of the Senate and 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has boldly asserted his political relevance after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
The meeting with President Tinubu on Saturday followed an earlier meeting between party leaders from the state in which Omo-Agege was conspicuously absent.
The first delegation to the president led by the Minister of Aviation, Olorogun Festus Keyamo and comprising the state chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, the three senators from Delta State, former national woman leader, Stella Okotete among other leaders believed to have fallen out with Omo-Agege.
GWG.ng reports that the former DSP who was on a tour of the local government areas of the state at the time of the visit was not carried along. The impression of the famed party leader being absent in such a top-level meeting between party leaders and the president created the impression that Omo-Agege had lost relevance with President Tinubu.
However, that impression appeared to have been pushed back after Omo-Agege went to his social media platforms to release the picture of the meeting with the president.
He posted thus:
“Last night, I had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
“We had a productive discussion on growth, development, and progress for our nation, with a focus on Delta State, and I’m optimistic about the future”, the post read.
GWG.ng reports that while the picture of Senator Omo-Agege and President Tinubu would continue to show his relevance in the APC, the louder message of acrimony in the Delta State chapter of the party with the rebellion of his erstwhile protegees referred to as his houseboys would continue to resonate.
