Police Arrest Popular Prophet Who Chained Wife Over Secret Bank Account

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested Prophet Umeke Miracle, the General Overseer of Dynamic Flame of Fire Ministries, for allegedly detaining his wife, Success, for five days.
The arrest of the prophet followed a police operation led by DPO Abacha, which resulted in Success being rescued from their home in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, where she was reportedly held against her will and denied communication with her family.
According to Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, Prophet Miracle has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
Success told the police that since their marriage in 2017, her husband had allegedly controlled her finances, forbidding her from opening a bank account or handling money while failing to provide for her personal needs.
In an attempt to gain financial independence, she secretly opened an account and started a small business. However, when Prophet Miracle discovered the account, he allegedly accused her of theft and confined her inside their home for several days.
Prophet Miracle, however, denied the allegations, claiming he should have been consulted first instead of his wife. He was eventually taken into custody after initially requesting to deliver a church sermon before meeting with the police.
The Rivers State Police Command has assured the public that investigations are ongoing.
