Corps Members NYSC Monthly

The NYSC Director General has announced that corps members have started receiving a new monthly allowance of ₦77,000 from March 2025.

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has announced that all Corps members will begin receiving a monthly allowance of ₦77,000 in March 2025.

Speaking on Thursday during an interaction with Corps members at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja, he assured them that both the NYSC management and the Federal Government were committed to their welfare and will continue prioritizing their well-being.

Nafiu praised Corps members for their dedication and service to the country, encouraging them to remain calm, focused, disciplined, and committed to their national duties.

He also expressed gratitude to the founders of the NYSC for their vision, stating that the program has successfully built bridges among different ethnic groups while exposing young graduates to diverse cultural values across the country.

Emphasizing the importance of the Scheme, he said, “NYSC is good at record keeping, and I can assure you that your money will be paid. The Nation and the Scheme appreciate you.”

GWG.ng reports that the promise follows the recent rant of an NYSC corps member, Ushie Uguamaye popularly known as Raye who lamented that the monthly allowance of N33,000 was unrealistic, calling on President Bola Tinubu as a terrible president.
