In a heartbreaking viral video, the singer was seen in tears as she narrated her ordeal, lamenting that she had been plunged into financial hardship and even rendered homeless. Sister Nnenna expressed deep distress over being unable to benefit from the songs that once brought her fame, as they are now seemingly controlled by another individual.

“When you see me, you will see frustration, rejection, and poverty. As a result of the frustration, we were chased out of the house,” she cried out.

Sister Nnenna pleaded with well-meaning Nigerians to come to her aid, sharing her bank details for those willing to offer support. Her revelation has since gone viral, with social media users confirming that her songs are still available on YouTube but appear to be managed by someone else.

Her plea comes at a time when the debate over financial compensation for gospel artistes is gaining traction. Recently, Pastor Femi Lazarus stirred controversy after discouraging gospel musicians from excessively monetizing their talents. His stance, however, faced backlash, especially after it was revealed that his ministry school charges $150 in fees.

Many critics argue that gospel musicians deserve financial stability, especially given that churches and ministries profit from their music.

As compassionate fans begin to send donations, calls are growing for systemic changes to ensure that artistes like Sister Nnenna Goodness receive the financial recognition they deserve.
