By Gideon Ayeni

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has sidestepped restrictions on convoys in Kogi State by making a bold entrance with a helicopter for her homecoming rally in her constituency.
A massive crowd of supporters gathered in Okehi Local Government Area, waving banners and chanting in solidarity as Natasha arrived by helicopter within the vicinity of her home in Ihiama. Her arrival was despite repeated warnings from security agencies and the state government to cancel the event over alleged security concerns.

Ahead of the rally, Akpoti-Uduaghan took to her verified Facebook page, warning that Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, and former Governor Yahaya Bello should be held accountable if any violence occurred during the Sallah celebrations. She reaffirmed that her visit was meant to be peaceful, urging supporters to ignore misinformation about a possible cancellation.
The senator, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is currently serving a six-month suspension from the Senate over alleged breaches of legislative rules. Meanwhile, a recall effort against her, reportedly backed by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is gaining momentum.
Akpoti-Uduaghan has remained a controversial political figure, with her recent allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Akpabio further fueling tensions. Despite political and legal battles, she continues to assert her influence in Kogi Central.
