The Plateau Patriotic Front, PPF has hailed the response of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the genicodal threats to the state commending him to press for the establishment of state police.

While calling on politicians on the Plateau to put aside partisan colours to address the existential threats to their collective well-being,  the Chairman of PPF, Mani Imman said,

“From inception, Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s intention of recovering and rebuilding an inherited State that was near total collapse was clear and deliberate.

“He convened a State Security Council meeting where he motivated the Heads of Security Agencies in the State and charged them to carry out their constitutional responsibility to safeguard lives and property in the State.

“He visited people who were abandoned in IDP camps for over 20 years in Riyom and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas, building hope and confidence in them, presenting them with relief materials. The Governor also visited all the Security Chiefs in Abuja and NEMA to build relationships to protect his people, giving the true narrative on security challenges in the State.”

On the recent happening in Bokkos, Imman highlighted that “Governor Mutfwang has personally visited Ruwi and other communities to empathize with the people, declaring that what is happening in Bokkos and other parts of Plateau is pure genocide where people are wiped out and their lands forcefully taken over by the terrorists.

He has spoken out on many credible media platforms, given out press statements, and demonstrated commitment to ameliorating the situation.

“Just last Sunday, the Governor directed the deployment of relief materials to the victims of the attacks, attracted relief materials also from NEMA while other faith-based organizations have also brought relief materials. The Governor has secured modern security technology to ensure adequate security surveillance.

“Plateau people will not tolerate a situation where some individuals will be using the media to advance personal interest rather than collective interest. If there is anyone that has stood with Plateau people is Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

“Plateau people and Nigerians know that Governor Mutfwang has shown courage in leadership, he has stood by Plateau people and he will continue to stand by them. He has mobilized tractors under ASTC to cultivate lands for displaced persons free of charge to enable the people to have sufficient food for consumption,” he stated.
