Senator Ali Ndume has slammed Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Policy Communication Adviser, calling him a “mad dog” and dismissing any political threat from him.

Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South, has criticized Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication.

Ndume referred to Bwala as a “maga dog,” a slang term often used to describe someone who is untrustworthy and capable of turning against those who help them.

He made this statement during an interview when asked if he was afraid of Bwala. In response, Ndume dismissed the idea completely, saying Bwala holds no political weight and cannot win elections.

He emphasized that he isn’t worried about any efforts by Bwala or others to remove him from his seat in the National Assembly. Ndume firmly stated that even if Bwala were given a ticket to contest, he would still not win an election in Borno State.

“Bwala cannot win the House of Assembly. Bwala tried to be a senator; did he get anywhere? I don’t want to talk about Bwala, Bwala is a maga dog,” Ndume said.

Previously, Bwala had accused Senator Ndume of secretly meeting with opposition groups in preparation for the 2027 elections. However, he denied having any interest in contesting for the Borno South Senate seat himself.

Bwala also criticized Ndume’s performance, saying he has made no real impact in the senatorial district, despite representing the area in the National Assembly for more than two decades.

Additionally, Bwala alleged that while Ndume often speaks out against others, he and his supporters react harshly when he is criticized—sometimes even issuing threats.
