The Nigeria Police Force has issued a wanted notice for Ihuoma Julia Nneji, the daughter of Frank Nneji, the founder of ABC Transport, over allegations of cybercrime.

According to the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja, the charges against her include “criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking.” Investigations reveal she was involved in cyberbullying and blackmailing an Abuja-based businessman between August and September 2024, with the help of several accomplices.

In reaction, social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman, released a video on September 24, 2024, demanding a retraction and public apology from Nneji within 24 hours. He said, “I will come for you with evidence if you don’t.”

Meanwhile, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), has officially expelled Felix Okemini, a former security aide to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru. His dismissal followed accusations of participating in cult-related activities during the university’s matriculation ceremony on March 14, 2025.

Okemini, who had enrolled to study political science, was photographed wearing clothing and symbols linked to a secret cult group. The images quickly went viral, prompting widespread backlash and calls for his removal.

Governor Nwifuru responded by sacking Okemini from his role as Special Assistant on Security for Ebonyi North District. The university followed by suspending him and setting up a panel to look into the matter.

The investigation revealed that Okemini had not fully completed his registration and did not possess a valid matriculation number. It also found that he chanted cult songs and displayed signs associated with cultism, which the school said endangered the peace and safety of the campus.

In a dismissal letter signed by the university registrar, AE-FUNAI stated that Okemini’s actions violated the Matriculation Oath and university rules. His admission was withdrawn immediately, and he was instructed to return all university property and stay away from the campus.
