Amid the ongoing fallout from the collapse of CBEX, a controversial investment platform that has left many Nigerians in financial ruin, one victim, Ivan Eagle has received an unexpected blessing.

Ivan Eagle, a man who publicly disclosed losing N9 million to CBEX, revealed that he was recently gifted a plot of land worth N30 million by a generous follower based in Sweden. The development came after his story was featured online, drawing widespread sympathy from the public.

According to Ivan, the land is a 600-square meter plot located in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos — a rapidly developing area known for its soaring property values. He noted that such a plot, especially under the supervision of a reputable real estate firm like PWAN, currently sells for around N30 million.

Sharing the news via his Facebook page, Ivan wrote:

“A follower in Sweden just gifted me a FULL plot of land in Lagos after reading my CBEX story on Legit.ng. To get a standard, well-protected FULL plot of land in a residential region of Ibeju Lekki today under a reputable real estate company like PWAN starts from N30 million.”

He also emphasized the rising demand for land in Ibeju Lekki, noting that most properties under trusted developers have already sold out, making his gift even more significant.

The CBEX crash has drawn nationwide attention, causing outrage and heartbreak across social media platforms. In response, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Internet Service Provider Nigeria (ISPN) have launched investigations into the platform’s operations and eventual shutdown.

Ivan’s story, while highlighting the pain of loss in the CBEX saga, has now turned into a symbol of hope for many, showing that light can sometimes shine through even the darkest financial trials.
