A multiple-vehicle accident in the early hours of Good Friday has left at least three people dead and several others injured on Kara Bridge along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The tragic incident, which occurred around 6:30 a.m., involved several speeding vehicles, according to eyewitnesses. One of the victims was spotted lying motionless on the road, while three lifeless bodies were reportedly pulled from the mangled wreckage.

The crash triggered a massive traffic jam in the area, with stranded motorists scrambling for alternative routes. Some frustrated drivers were seen driving against traffic in a desperate attempt to escape the gridlock.

As of 7:00 a.m., only a handful of first responders were on ground, struggling to rescue victims and clear the debris. Emergency services were still being awaited, raising concerns over the pace of response during such critical moments.
