Kwam1 Slams Kollington Over Lack Of Sympathy After Mother’s Death
By Benjamin Abioye

Kwam1 has openly criticized Kollington for not showing sympathy or offering condolences after the death of his mother, despite Kwam1’s significant support when Kollington lost his own mother.
Famous Nigerian Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1, has expressed his anger toward his senior colleague, Ayinla Kollington.

Kwam1 is upset because Kollington did not return his kindness after he supported him during the burial of his mother.
In January 2025, Kwam1’s mother passed away, and she was buried according to Islamic traditions on the same day. Kwam1 shared his frustrations during an interview with media personality Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio. He reflected on the time when Kollington’s own mother passed away and how he stood by him, handling all the arrangements and finances for the burial.
Kwam1 explained that he not only supported Kollington emotionally, but also went out of his way to ensure a proper and dignified burial. He even brought in several dignitaries, including governors, to the ceremony. However, Kwam1 expressed his disappointment that Kollington had not shown any sympathy when his own mother passed away.
He said, “I’m very angry with Alhaji Kollington for not reaching out or offering condolences when I lost my mother. I joined hands with him to bury his own mother. I supported him to give his mother a befitting burial. I brought many dignitaries to the burial including governors, and I handled all the finances 100%.”
He continued, “See how he paid me back. What could have happened after everything I did for him? He was in Nigeria, hale and hearty when my mom passed away, and the only excuse he could give was that he called, and I didn’t pick. Am I not supposed to be angry?”
