Key Witness In Diddy’s Trial Goes Missing
By Benjamin Abioye

The ongoing trial of Sean “P Diddy” Combs may have hit a roadblock as federal prosecutors struggle to locate a crucial witness.
The trial of Sean “P Diddy” Combs has encountered a significant setback due to the sudden disappearance of a crucial witness.
Federal prosecutors are currently struggling to locate “Victim 3,” who is a key figure in their sex trafficking case against the music mogul. With the opening statements approaching, prosecutors are under pressure to find her.
Lead prosecutor Maurene Comey informed US District Judge Arun Subramanian that they are facing difficulties in reaching both the witness and her attorney. Victim 3 was expected to testify with “very personal and explosive details” about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of Combs.
In response, defense attorney Teny Geragos has given the prosecution an ultimatum, demanding that they decide by the end of the week whether or not they will call Victim 3 to testify. This has raised concerns, especially since the prosecution previously claimed that Victim 3 did not want to use a pseudonym during her testimony.
Combs faces serious charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His legal team argues that the accusations are not new and stem from consensual relationships. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and declined a last-minute plea deal. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
As the trial continues, jury selection is underway. More than 600 potential jurors have completed questionnaires, with 45 selected for the next stage. Both the prosecution and defense will review the list on Friday to finalize the jury.
The court will reconvene on Friday, leaving the question of whether Victim 3 will appear, or if the prosecution will proceed without her testimony, still unanswered.
