A Delta State man, Oyuvwe Vincent Odili Lucky, is celebrating the first anniversary of his headline-making marriage to two women in a single ceremony—a union that stunned many and captivated social media.

Oyuvwe tied the knot with Mary Odeaebra Lagos and Suzy Oghenekvwe Willie on the same day, June 22, 2024, in a colourful and unconventional ceremony held in Oghara, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Reflecting on the anniversary a year later, Oyuvwe took to Facebook on Sunday, June 22, 2025, to mark the milestone with a brief but heartfelt message:
“Happy Anniversary to Us. It can only be God.”

Speaking previously about his decision to marry both women, Oyuvwe explained that the trio had lived peacefully together for nearly a decade before formalizing their relationship.

“I married them because we’ve always lived as one for the past nine years. We live in the same house, use one kitchen, cook together, and eat together,” he said.

The rare marriage, which sparked a mix of admiration and curiosity, was praised by some for its harmony and criticized by others who questioned the cultural and legal implications. Still, Oyuvwe and his wives have remained united and continue to defy expectations with their unique family arrangement.
