Buhari, Oshiomhole Angry With Okorocha Winner Takes It All Stance

President Muhammadu Buhari and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole are said to be angry with the determination of Governor Rochas Okorocha not to yield ground in the dispute between him and his rivals in the Imo State chapter of the APC.

It was scooped that Buhari and Oshiomhole had asked Okorocha to yield either the governorship or the Senate seat to Senator Hope Uzodinma but Okorocha is insisting on taking the two slots. He wants the governorship for his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu and the Senate seat for himself.

“The president is not happy and Comrade is also not happy as the governor wants to take everything for himself. He said that he can win without his rivals, but nobody is taking him seriously,” a source close to the national leadership of the party said.

The issue is expected to be resolved next Tuesday when a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja rules on the dispute between Uzodinma and Nwosu.

Party operatives are also angry that Okorocha seems to be overreaching himself after the national secretariat went out of its way to save him and restore the party structure to him after the last leadership of Chief John Odigie-Oyegun had practically taken the party away from him and vested it in the opposition locally described as the Allied Forces.
