APC Chairman: Shocking Details Of How Buhari Rescheduled UK Trip To Sack Buni

Details of why President Muhammadu Buhari caused Mai Mala Buni to be removed as chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC after repeated contraventions of the president’s orders on holding a national convention are emerging.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that one of the reasons Buhari returned to Nigeria from Kenya instead of proceeding to the United Kingdom for his medical check up was to tidy up the sacking of Buni from the APC Caretaker Committee.

It was gathered that Buhari had over time become frustrated by alleged acts of Buni in frustrating the plans for a national convention as sources alleged that Buni had become rather focused on conducting the National Convention that is supposed to nominate the presidential candidate of the party.

It was gathered that Buni who had in the past formed a partnership with Governors Abubakar Baduru of Jigawa State and Atiku Baugudu of Kebbi State had in recent times ditched the two governors as he formed partnership with one Southeast governor, a North-Central governor who is also in the presidential contest and a Southwest governor purportedly to frustrate the plans for the convention.

President Buhari was said to have been particularly livid that associates of Buni took court injunctions to frustrate the holding of the February convention. GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that the injunctions were taken after the President and governors had first agreed on a February 5 date for the convention.

As a source privy to the development said on Monday morning, “the president saw it as a personal affront when he got to know that Buni’s associates were behind the court injunctions that had been placed in the way of the convention.

“Up till now those injunctions had not been discharged,” the source revealed.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Buni saw the handwriting on the wall and was absent at the Tuesday meeting which the president held with governors to finetune the convention.

It was gathered that President Buhari while in Kenya last week realized that should he proceed to the United Kingdom for his scheduled medical check up that Buni who had gone to Dubai for a medical check-up would return and perfect plans to frustrate the convention and hence the decision to sack him as APC chairman.

“That was part of the reasons that the president returned to Nigeria to perfect the sacking of Buni,” GreenWhiteGreen GWG was told.
