11 Million Mourn As Ronaldo Laments Death Of Son
Nearly 11 million people from across the world have turned in to mourn with Manchester United State, Cristiano Ronaldo on the death of his son on Monday according to GreenWhiteGreen GWG checks on his Instagram page.
Among those mourning with him are his colleagues within and outside his club. The club have also mourned with him and so have his immediate former club, Juventus.
The Manchester United forward had announced his bereavement on Monday lamenting the death of his son as the greatest pain that any parent can feel.
The death of the toddler came just after Ronaldo hit his 50th club hattrick.
Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez had the deceased baby as a twin following their announcement in December that they were expecting a boy and a girl.
Confirming the development on Instagram, Ronaldo wrote, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Checks on the Instagram handle showed that as at 7.22 a.m. Lagos time that 10.973 million had liked the announcement to mourn with Ronaldo over the death of his toddler son.
