Man United Star Bruno Fernandes Escapes Injury In Car Crash

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has escaped serious injury after being involved in a car crash on Monday morning.

The 27-year-old was driving his Porsche when he was involved in the accident but is expected to train as normal at United’s Carrington base ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash with rivals Liverpool.

No other parties are thought to have sustained serious injuries in the shunt.

Fernandes hasn’t been as influential for United on the pitch this season, with the Red Devils just about maintaining their challenge for a top-four finish.

The Portuguese international has scored nine goals in 30 Premier League outings, helping United to fifth, but wasn’t able to register in the Champions League a competition United crashed out of at the last 16 stage.

Fernandes recently penned a new contract at Old Trafford running until 2026 with the option of another year, and he is likely to be at the forefront of United’s plans for the next few years – plans that look likely to be spearheaded by Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

90min understands that a deal is in place for the Dutchman to take over from interim manager Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season concluding an extensive managerial search that kicked off in November following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking.
