Recall that, El-Rufai had taken to his verified Twitter handle to mock the Obidient supporters of the Labour Party (LP), presidential candidate, Peter Obi over their plans for a two million march in Kaduna.

The Governor had mocked the planned march stating that he hopes they get up to two hundred persons.

He said; “In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter? –

I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on overnight bus last night!!

I jus’ dey laff, wallahi tallahi!! – “

In reaction to his tweet, Nigerians had blasted El-Rufai stating that the turn out for the march will be massive as it had been in other states.

However, the plans for the march appeared to have been aborted after the Nigerian Police, Kaduna State Command called on the Obidient supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate to postpone the planned march due to insecurity reasons, an order many inferred came from Governor El-Rufai.

Reacting to the postponement, Nigerians fired El-Rufai, as many referred to him as the dictator who dictated to the police to cancel the march.
