Omotola Gives Update On Genevieve

Popular United States based Nollywood veteran, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde has given word on the imminent return of her colleague, Genevieve Nnaji to the industry after reports of her mental breakdown.

GWG.NG reports that Omotola who is popular among her Nigerian fans as Omosexy, and Genevieve have in the past stoked rivalry among their fans over who was the better actress.

However, that healthy competition took a backstage earlier in the year after reports emerged that Genevieve had broken down under yet to be explained mental pressure.

The assertion of a mental breakdown came after Genevieve was reported to have posted some inexplicable Arabic inscriptions on her page making some to even report her possible conversion to Islam.

Amid the reports of a mental breakdown, a video of her painting was shared, allegedly by her management before she was eventually reported to have been hospitalised in the United States.

Many of her rivals and friends in the industry had understandably been sympathetic and where not, kept quiet on her state.

Since then nothing much has been heard from her with the notable exception of a report from her management calling possible actors and actresses to come for auditioning. That report fed rumours that Genevieve was back in health and ready to return to the industry.

Her screen rival, Omotola who is now reported to have relocated to the United States was recently forced to speak out on the mental health of Genevieve.

An Omotola fan had asked her on twitter about Genevieve, to which she replied saying she was sure that the queen diva would soon return and speak to her fans.

She said: “Don’t have anything to say to you unfortunately but I’m sure she’ll speak to her fans very soon.”

She tweeted thus:
