Moment Dogs, Reporter On Live Coverage In Gaza Take Cover As Israeli Aircraft Attack (Video)
The video footage of a television reporter in Gaza taking cover during a live broadcast as Israeli bombs directed at the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in the enclave has emerged.
The 22-second footage which surfaced on Saturday saw many onlookers in the hospital environment running inside the hospital as the Israeli attack aircraft approached.
Besides the reporter, what was of interest to some netizins was the flight of two dogs which made for cover as the Israeli aircraft struck.
GWG.ng reports that the Israeli authorities have accused Hamas, the militant group which controlled the Gaza Strip of using the hospitals in the territory for its operations.
Meanwhile, besides the drama of the television reporter taking flight as the planes attack, NAN reports that the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has told residents in the northern Gaza Strip they will provide two safe escape corridors leading south for several hours on Saturday.
“Military activities” are to be halted between 10 am and 2 pm (0800 and 1200 GMT) for “humanitarian purposes,” the military announced on social media platform X.
The military added it will make a “tactical” suspension of military activities for several hours in the Jabalia refugee camp to allow civilians to flee from there, too.
“For your safety, please joint the hundreds of thousands of residents who have moved to the south in recent days,” an army spokesman wrote in Arabic on X.
Residents are allowed to use the strip’s coastal road on the Mediterranean Sea and one that traverses the centre of the territory. (dpa/NAN)
