Ghana Fans Attack Bus

Following the elimination of Ghana’s Black Stars from the ongoing African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) competition in Ivory Coast, a viral video depicting angry Ghana fans attacking its football national team bus has sparked emotions from Nigerians.

After losing their opening match against Cape Verde and drawing brilliantly 2-2 with Egypt, the Black Stars drew 2-2 with Mozambique in their final group game and were unable to advance to the competition’s following round.

The failure of Ghana to advance is despite the fact that the country had been reckoned as the second-best team in Abidjan and was squared up against Mozambique, one of the lowest-ranked countries in the AFCON. Mozambique has never won a match in the competition.

For the Black Stars, this was their second consecutive elimination from an AFCON competition in the group stages and outraged fans immediately instigated a riot that led to the attack of the team’s bus.

Nigerians took to their Instagram handles to express their displeasure on the rage displayed by Ghanaian fans.

Okechi_ng said, “I am not a Ghanaian but that game was painful to watch, the entire country must be in mourning”.

Big 7record said, “This is pathetic, no amount of loss should make people do this to their own players who went to represent them no matter what. It’s wrong for Ghana to do this to the team bus.”

Big_ever002 said, “Somebody will stand for you both in the rain and sunshine and you have the mind to do this? Where is the humanity in you guys?”
