In an alarming moment captured on camera, US President Joe Biden nearly stumbled twice while boarding Air Force One, despite using a shorter and supposedly less challenging staircase.

The incident occurred as the 81-year-old commander-in-chief prepared to depart for Los Angeles on Tuesday, as he narrowly avoided a full tumble.

Video footage of the near-miss showed President Biden saluting US military personnel at the base of the staircase before ascending at Andrews Air Force Base.

About halfway up, Biden appeared to trip slightly on one step, prompting him to grip the railing for stability. However, he then stumbled again on the following step.

The incident prompted commentary from various quarters, including RNC Research, managed by the Republican National Committee, which tweeted: “Biden almost trips (twice) as he boards Air Force One — despite using the short stairs to avoid tripping.”

It was noted that a Secret Service agent is typically stationed at the bottom of the stairs during Biden’s boarding and disembarking to prevent such scenarios. The incident reignited concerns about the president’s health, with some expressing worries about his well-being.

The incident on Air Force One concerning the president is bound to echo in the continuing campaigns.
