Danbo International School Wins KADCCIMA Quiz
Danbo International School, Kaduna, on Tuesday, clinched the first position of the secondary schools’ quiz competition organised by the Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the quiz was part of activities lined up for the ongoing 45th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
The competition attracted contestants from public and private schools in Kaduna and Kano States, with Day Science College, Kano securing the second position while Brain Trust School, Kaduna, came third.
The Chairman of the competition committee, Mr Auta Bulus, said the quiz was designed to encourage students to study and learn beyond their regular curriculum.
He said that it also aim to improve problem-solving skills while fostering critical thinking abilities among students as they analyse questions and strategise their responses.
“Quiz promotes healthy competition which encourages students to strive for excellence, pushing them to perform better academically.
“It also teaches them how to handle both, we hope to have sponsors that will enhance the competition in subsequent years,” he said.
Ms Taiye Awonuga, a contestant from Danbo International School, expressed joy over her school’s victory, adding that they studied hard to enable them to win the competition. (NAN)
