Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Drop 40% To 146 On Tuesday
Nigeria recorded a massive drop in new cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Tuesday as it dropped 40% to 146 new cases from the 242 cases recorded on Monday.
As with most of the past days, Lagos led the new cases with 57 followed by Kano which recorded 27 new cases and 10 in Kwara.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in its daily report also reported six mortalities across the country.
The NCDC tweeted thus:
The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN), reports that the NCDC announced the inclusion of the 24th laboratory to the National COVID-19 Network in the country.
The agency also outlined guidelines for the integration of private sector laboratories for COVID-19 testing in the country.
“We have published a guidance document, including a checklist, on how private laboratories with molecular diagnostic capacity can join the National COVID-19Laboratory Network,” it tweeted.
