Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has sparked outrage on social media for her congratulatory message to President Bola Tinubu on his one-year anniversary in office. Despite the widespread hardship and suffering in the country, Badmus praised the President’s dedication and leadership, expressing her hope for continued success and growth under his guidance.

This move has drawn criticism from Nigerians who feel that the actress is out of touch with the reality of the country’s situation. Just earlier this month, Badmus was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Social Events and Public Hearing, a move that has been seen as a reward for her vocal support of the President.

Badmus has been a staunch supporter of the President, even going as far as to dedicate an award she received from the APC youth stakeholders forum to the youths who supported the “Renewed Hope” mantra. She has also received appreciation from President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for her efforts towards the success of the “Renewed Hope” concert.

However, her congratulatory message has sparked a backlash, with many calling her out for her perceived insensitivity to the struggles of the Nigerian people.

@Dezzy Milli: “May the condition of Nigeria today be your portion in your generation to come

@Dolapo4995: “God punish her button

As the debate rages on, it remains to be seen how Badmus will respond to the criticism and whether she will continue to publicly support the President despite the widespread discontent.
