Police Arrest Ondo Guber Candidate Over #EndBadGovernance Protest

In a disturbing development, the Nigerian Police have detained Kunle Wizeman Ajayi, the 2024 African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Ondo State, and Patrick Owolabi, a member of the Take It Back (TIB) Movement.

The arrests occurred during the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest finale in Akure, Ondo State.

The TIB Movement has vehemently condemned the police actions, demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Ajayi and Owolabi. In a Twitter statement, TIB expressed:

“It’s unfortunate that @PoliceNG hasn’t learned. The continued clampdown on peaceful #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters is shameful. We condemn the unlawful arrest of Ajayi Wizeman & Patrick Owolabi in Ondo state and demand their immediate release!”
