The Lagos State government has sealed off Donald’s Fast Food, a popular restaurant in Lekki Phase 1 owned by socialite Cubana Chief Priest, following multiple environmental violations, including noise pollution.

The closure of Donald’s Fast Food was announced on Sunday by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, who shared the development via his X (formerly Twitter) account. According to Wahab, the decision was taken after the restaurant repeatedly ignored warnings and abatement notices issued by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).

“After several warnings and abatement notices, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency @LasepaOfficial sealed Donald’s Fast Food on Adebayo Doherty Street, Lekki 1 over noise pollution and other environmental infractions,” the commissioner wrote.

Photos accompanying the post showed LASEPA officials sealing the premises and inspecting the facility.

The closure has since created mixed reactions on social media, with some netizens supporting the government’s actions in enforcing environmental regulations, while others expressed disappointment over the situation, given the restaurant’s popularity.
