Another member of the Nigerian House of Representatives whose identity has yet to be revealed has appeared in an online video where he seemed to assault a woman on the roadside.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from an incident in which the lawmaker injured someone while driving. He believed the victim was pretending, leading to a heated argument with a woman who claimed to know him well.

In the now-viral clip, the lawmaker was seen arguing with a group of people by the roadside over the incident. During the argument, the woman confronted him, saying, “Oga, if nobody else knows you here, I know you very well; you are a House of Rep member.”

In response, the alleged lawmaker told her to “shut your mouth.” The woman, visibly angered, replied, “Don’t tell me that,” and continued, “You are stupid; you have no human feelings.”

As he tried to explain himself further, though it was difficult to hear exactly what he said, he used the word “pretending.” This prompted the woman to question him sharply, asking, “What do you mean by pretending, Oga? You are a human being like him?”

At this point, the argument escalated when the lawmaker noticed that the woman was recording him. Turning to her with visible anger, he warned, “Madam, if you do that, I am going to injure you,” and struck her recording device. This action intensified the situation, sparking widespread reactions online.

This incident between the House of Reps member and the Nigerian woman has drawn comparisons to a recent development involving Alex Ikwechegh, who assaulted a Bolt driver and threatened to make him disappear, highlighting ongoing concerns about the behavior of public officials in Nigeria.
