Hushpuppi Linked To North Korean Bank Robbers, Money Launderers - FBI

Gal Pissetzky, a lawyer to Ramon Olorun Abass aka Hushpuppi has insisted that the US Government and FBI have no legal right to prosecute Hushpuppi, saying his client was kidnapped from Dubai.

Hushpuppi and twelve others were arrested by Dubai Police, in Dubai, in an operation dubbed ‘Fox Hunt 2’ for allegedly defrauding over 1.9 million victims to the tune of N168 million.

The ‘Billionaire Gucci Master’ was subsequently extradited to the United States for trial by the Dubai Police.

Pissetzky alleged that the US Government kidnapped Hushpuppi from Dubai upon the claim that there was no legal backing to support his extradition to the US for trial.

The lawyer claimed that the Dubai Government should have expelled Hushpuppi to Nigeria, the country he was born, noting that his client is not a US citizen.

Pissetzky, in an interview with the BBC, said, “In my opinion, the FBI and the government here acted illegally when they kidnapped him from Dubai without any legal process to do so. There was no extradition. No legal steps were taken.

“There were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI. He is not a citizen of the United States, the US had absolutely no authority to take him.

“If Dubai wanted to expel him, they should have expelled him back to Nigeria. I’ve never heard of anything like that. That is the real story here.”
