Everything Na Fake! Success, Girl In Delta Viral Video Laments
Says Pledges To Family Have Been Unfulfilled
By Ayodele Oluwafemi
Success Adegor, the seven-year-old Sapele, Delta State girl whose video clip threw the nation into hilarity last year after she was sent home from school over unpaid school fees has disclosed that all the promises of help have gone unfulfilled.
Recall that Success Adegor was recorded after she was sent home for the inability of her parents to pay her school fee. On her way home, a third party recorded her angry reactions towards her school teachers.
The little girl had angrily said, in Pidgin English, “shebi an flog dem wan flog, dem go flog tire” referring to her teachers.
The viral video drew the attention of well meaning Nigerians including the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and several promises were made off and online for the betterment of her family.
Suggestions of an avalanche of goodwill towards the family reportedly led to brushes with one of those who recorded the video and neighbours also demanding their share.
The little girl, in another video, has refuted the claims that her family has become rich after the viral video, referring to the promises as “audio”; that is, they did not materialize.
She further said that the promises were mere social media publicity, and that her father is still riding motorcycle, while her mother is still working in a place where she earns N10,000 monthly, which is not being paid when due.
