CAN Gets New National Exco

A new executive for the Christian Organisation of Nigeria, CAN has emerged with the immediate past president of the organisaiton, Rev. Supo Ayokunle being returned for a second term.

He defeated Dr Caleb Ahima, president of TEKAN by 59 votes to 44.

By CAN tradition, Dr. Ahima will now serve as vice-president of the umbrella body of Christian organisations in Nigeria.

Dr Ahima will replace the immediate past vice-president, Prof. Joseph Otubu who came from the C&S bloc of the organization.

The other officers in the CAN executive will be presented by the various blocs in CAN at the point of inauguration of the new national executive.
