Police Arrest 10 In Lagos For Traffic Robbery

The Kwara State Police Command has narrated how its operatives foiled plans to organise a nude party in selected places in Ilorin, the state capital.

State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega, said a member of the gang planning the party, Akinsola Babatunde, aka Mr. White, was arrested at No. 16 Achimugu Street, Ilorin.

He said the police in a sting operation paid N20,000 for prospective attendees as advertised on social media.

He added that they planned to hold it in lounges, club houses and service apartments.

Bagega stated, “The immoral and illegal action of Mr White and his accomplices clearly contradict the COVID-19 protocols and promote crime and criminality,” he said in reference to plans for the alleged Nude Party.

“Operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau attached to the command carried out a string operation involving tactical undercover and manoeuvre. We actually played along with them by posing as interested persons. We paid the advertised sum of N20,000 to a given bank account. With the cooperation of the other stakeholders, we nabbed the suspect while going to withdraw the money in the bank.

“Efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing members of the gang; the one in custody will be charged as soon as investigation is completed.”

The police action in foiling the Kwara Nude party comes after similar acts of indecency came to light. The Kaduna State Government had acted albeit controversially after it came to light that a prank in the form of a Kaduna Sex Party was allegedly planned.

The revelation of the plans of a Kaduna Sex Party led the government to demolish a popular restaurant, Asher Longue despite the claim of the owners of the restaurant that they were ignorant of plans for the Sex Party.

There was also a claim of a sex party in Bauchi.
