Nollywood Stars Gush As Kate Henshaw Turns 50

On the occasion of her 50th birthday on Monday, July 19, 2021 veteran Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw has estimated God’s grace to be inestimable as she took to Instagram to thank God for His love on her life.

The veteran actress who was born on 19 July 1971 shared stunning photos of herself on her Instagram handle.

“Grateful in ways I cannot express as the Lord has added another year to me…His Grace is sufficient for me in more ways than I can mention,” she said as she thanked God for His mercies through the years.

In one of her postings she also took time out to remember some of her birthday mates and most notably, the late Ibidun Ighodalo.

Kate Henshaw said that had she not died last year that the preacher and philanthropist would have as the practice would have called her to share the joy of the day with her.

The workout and lifestyle addict who shares daily videos of her workout routine on her Instagram handle has an estimated net worth of over $1m  making her one of the richest and most influential actresses in Nigeria.

Kate got married in 1999 to British born Roderick James Nuttal. The union produced a child in 2000 named Gabrielle Nuttall, their marriage lasted for 12 years then the union split.

The Calabar indigene currently has over 2.3 million followers on her Instagram handle. She also won the African Movie Academy Award for BEST Actress in a leading Role for her performance in the movie “Stronger than Pain” in 2008.

Prior to becoming an actress, Kate Henshaw worked as a model, featuring in various commercials including a print and television advert for Shield deodorant.

In 1993, Kate Henshaw auditioned for the lead role in the movie ‘When the Sun Sets’ and was chosen for the role. This was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie. She has since then starred in over 45 Nollywood movies.

She was the Brand Ambassador for “Onga” seasoning produced by Promasidor Nigeria Limited. On September 2012, Kate alongside Dan Foster was selected to be Judges in the reality show “Nigeria’s Got Talent”.

In 2011, She was honored by the Nigerian Federal Government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic [MFR].

Kate Henshaw was appointed as Special Adviser Liaison Lagos by the Cross River State Governor Ben Ayode in December in 2015.

Various Celebrities and Media Influencers have taken to their Social Media handles to celebrate her.

Among them was Rinu, a twitter influencer who rose to fame during the “End SARS Protest” in 2020 who wrote on her twitter handle “Happy Birthday Queen @Henshawkate, A global force to reckon with, God bless your new age ma’am #50shadesofk8.

The entertainment entrepreneur, Mo Abudu wrote: It’s Kate day today ??????. Happy 50th birthday my darling, wishing you the happiest of birthdays????♥️?. Wishing you Gods divine love now and always??.
