Disregard Obaseki’s Claim On Harmonisaiton – Edo South PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo South Senatorial District has asked party members in the zone to disregard claims of harmonisation of the party executives in the region.

A joint statement issued by Nosa Ogieva-Okunbor and Hon Anthony Peter Ihimi, respectively senatorial chairman and secretary affirmed that the issue of harmonisaiton was sub judice and as such cannot have the face of law.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG had reported Governor Obaseki’s appointment of 134 aides following what was claimed as the harmonization of PDP executives.

The rejection of the harmonization exercise in Edo South, the governor’s senatorial base is bound to upset the political permutations of the governor and further create instability for him within his home base.

Rejecting the harmonisation exercise in a statement made available to  GreenWhiteGreen GWG, the Edo South PDP leaders said:

Our attention have been drawn to the first sentence of Edo State Government Special Announcement dated 2nd December 2021 in connection with the appointment of Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants purportedly done based on harmonisation of Party Executive.

We wish to respectfully state as follow:-

1.           That the purported harmonisation is sub judice.

Suit no. FHC/ABJ/CS/1618/2020 refers.

2.           No leader was mandated to vitiate and disrespect the decision reached at 2021 National Convention.

Consequently, the claimed harmonisation is null and void.

3.           That the alleged harmonisation is not only irregular but an aberration of the provisions of the PDP CONSTITUTION 2017 as amended.

    In the management of Party affairs, Party Constitution is supreme.

4. We call on all elected EXCO members at Ward and LGA levels to disregard the said harmonisation and go about their business of managing our great party towards rescuing Nigerians from oppressive, visionless and rudderless APC government.

5. Our goal is winning and delivering  all PDP candidates for

Presidency, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly in the 2023 General elections.

6.           On behalf of the good people of Edo South Senatorial District, we congratulate all the appointees contained in the aforementioned Annoucement and wish them well.
